A trading class

About this video
A teacher's class, ECON 210, has three students who joined with a code. The assignment comes from the Risk under stress template: 40 trading days, with credit spreads widening on day 16 and liquidity drying up on day 26. The future is hidden from students, and there are checkpoints on days 14 and 30.
Students may trade by hand or with an AI agent, and managing risk is half the mark. Ben's assignment shows him the line to give his agent. He pastes it into Claude, which trades through tradefloor's MCP tools with Ben's key and stops after day 14, where the checkpoint is Ben's to answer.
Ana trades by hand with a note on each order saying why, answers both checkpoints and hands in at day 40. The teacher watches every student's return on one chart, then opens Ana's work: her trades and notes, her answers as she wrote them on the day, and the parts marked automatically.

Figures on screen
Every figure here is on screen in the video and was checked against the product's own data.
- The marking is managing risk 50%, checkpoints 20%, final write-up 20% and return 10%.
- Ben's agent bought eight companies at about 11% each on day 1 and held them. After day 14 his net worth was $1,038,612 (+3.86%), with the largest holding at 11.94% and a drawdown of 1.23%.
- The teacher's live table showed Ana handed in (day 40, −7.0%), Ben working (day 14, +3.9%) and Chris not started.
- Ana's return was −7.0%, or +8.1% against buy and hold, with a worst drawdown of −11.9%. The parts marked automatically gave risk 14, prediction 0 and return 10, and the teacher marks the written answer.
More demos
2:15Would my trading bot survive a crash?Branch a market into a rate shock and a liquidity crisis, run the same bot on every branch, ask Claude why it lost, and replay the crisis with Claude's one-line fix.
2:07Can Claude out-trade a bot?Claude, a momentum bot and a buy-and-hold bot trade one shared market for 25 days, straight through a liquidity crisis.
2:20Does my trading bot pass CI?A pull request raises a bot's leverage and tradefloor's stress suite fails it in CI. Claude fixes the bot from the CI log without loosening the check, and CI passes.
3:02Skill or luck?Claude tunes a trading bot on 8 public markets and none of its changes beats the original. On fresh hidden markets the unchanged bot scores anywhere from 33 to 51.
3:47No installA new account writes a trading bot in the browser, tests it against three crises in the same tab and asks Claude which one hurt, with nothing installed.
